Committee Activities: The Human Rights Committee members may write on either of the ILA committee projects, the impact of IHRL on ICJ judgments and/or the response to the Supreme Court in the Medellin case decision, in which it stated that no State automatically enforces ICJ decisions in domestic courts (Art. 94 of the UN Charter). Such a response would look at the domestic enforceability of ICJ judgments (in the human rights area) and other decisions and judgments of international human rights bodies. The goal is to have some drafts ready for the 2010 ILA meeting in The Hague.

The Committee is also developing advocacy projects with the International Humanitarian Law Committee.
