The American Branch of the International Law Association is dedicated to
the study, clarification and development of International Law and the
advancement of peace, equity and justice worldwide.
Members work together on committees to issue reports, amicus briefs, and letters to Congress, federal agencies, the United Nations, and other international organizations on a range of current and evolving topics.
International Law Weekend – the Branch’s annual conference – was held in New York City on October 24-26, 2024.
The program included a High-Level Opening Plenary Address, several keynote addresses, and a broad array of public and private international law topics in each time slot. The Weekend also included networking opportunities, social events, award ceremonies, and the 102nd Members Meeting.

Founded in 1922, the American Branch recently celebrated its 100th year of working towards the betterment of the world through the teaching, study, and development of international law.
We commemorated this notable achievement with our members and the international law community throughout the year with events and special projects, including a Centennial Gala in New York City on October 20, 2022 and a short documentary.
