International Law Weekend Midwest: The Academy and International Law – A Catalyst for Change and Innovation
The American Branch is pleased to announce that International Law Weekend (ILW) Midwest – 2021 will be hosted in-person on September 24-25, 2021 by Case Western Reserve School of Law and sponsored by the Frederick K. Cox International Law Center. The theme is The Academy and International Law: A Catalyst for Change and Innovation.
Perhaps more than in any other legal field, academic institutions and organizations run by academics have had a profound influence on the development of International Law. In this two-day in-person conference, two-dozen expert panelists from international organizations, NGOs, and academic institutions will explore how academia has influenced war crimes prosecutions, peace negotiations, and the pursuit of human rights since the Second World War.
This two-day Conference celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Endowment of CWRU School of Law’s Frederick K. Cox International Law Center and the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Public International Law & Policy Group.
7.75 CLE credit available. Register today! More information is available here.
